FUNDRAISING UPDATE

Saturday Feb. 14th-Raffle Table for the day at the Family Day Tournament.

Red Deer City Soccer will allow our team to sell items at a raffle table on the Saturday of the tournament. We need to decide what to raffle off and organize the schedule of who will sit at the table to sell tickets. Margo will ensure the cashbox is ready to go with a float.

Parent(s) volunteer opportunity:
Contact the other teams running a raffle on that weekend to ensure we do not duplicate prize (RDCSA has the team contact info)
Choose the items to raffle and make up the basket(s) – team can pay for this cost
Create a raffle box to put tickets into
Create raffle tickets and signage
Create schedule of who will work during the day
Ensure raffle item is distributed and funds are returned to Margo

Feb 1-25 – Excel Ticket Raffle

During our November meeting we discussed selling raffle tickets for a draw set up by our tour company, Excel. The prize is a trip for 2 to Manchester to watch a Manchester United Football game. Prize includes flights, 2 nights hotel and entry to the game. Tickets are $10.00 each. Excel pays for the cost of the prize and our team only pays for the printing of the tickets.
This will be an individual fundraiser. The value of every ticket sold will go towards each individuals expenses. For example: if Josh sells 10 tickets, $100.00 will be put towards his trip. Participation in this raffle is optional.

Parent volunteer opportunity:
· Track and distribute tickets to parents and players
· Collect ticket stubs and money by Feb 25th
· Ensure all ticket stubs have initials of the player who sold them
· Have tickets available for sale at the Family Day tournament
· Track the seller of every ticket and provide info to Margo
· Give stubs and money from players and give to Margo by Feb 25th
· Margo will send stubs into Excel by Feb 27th

March 7th – Cabaret for the Men’s and Women’s soccer league wind-up – Westerner

Our team will be the host for a cabaret. All funds will go towards the team. We have reviewed our expenses and expected revenue and plan for a net profit of $1500.00 to $3000.00 in the evening.
